I just wanted to let you know that while we are unable to join the "live" virtual classes we have been using the recordings. They are very valuable and our daughter has really been enjoying them. I think we still have about 3 more to do. If you were thinking of continuing the series of classes to advance reading further in January we would certainly sign up. Especially, if they are being recorded and we can watch on our own.

If you want to have your child reading in French in just a few short weeks, you need to sign up for the Beginner Reader Skills course with Mme Amy! 
 
Now that my son is 5 and has begun reading in English, I wanted him to learn how to read in French as well but, despite being bilingual myself, I was at a complete loss as to how to help him get started. So when Mme Amy announced she was starting a beginner reader skills course, we just had to register! 
 
This course is FUN! It is filled with games and a vowel song that you will be singing over and over again! Even my 3 yr old is constantly singing “A E I O U” and has been benefitting from this program too by gaining letter recognition and French pronunciation! 
 
Now that we have completed parts 1 and 2 of the course, my son is reading! We purchased Facile à Lire books according to Mme Amy’s recommendations, and he was able to read them using all the techniques and tools that he learned during the Beginner Reader Skills course. His face lit up when he finished reading the first book;  he was so proud in that moment, and I was beaming too! 
 
This week we started part 3 and we can’t wait to see what’s in store! 
 
Thank you so much Mme Amy for providing us with all your tips and tricks to support my sons French reading journey. I feel confident in my ability to help and encourage him, and he has gained a great base in his French literacy skills. Un gros merci!
